♥REVIEW : Missha Misa Geumsul Vitalizing BB Cake !♥

Hello my beautiful lovies.
Hope you've been well this week. Nothing new to report on except the fact that it's super hot out here and I am MISSING the fall and winter months all over again. It's like.... when it's hot, you want it cooler, and when it's cold, you want it warmer. Here where I live, the weather is always changing.
If it could be one season all year... fall. <3

Guess what? I bought this item as another impulse by. Yes, the packaging sucked me in like none other, but unfortunately... this BB Cake was a bust for me.

The packaging was hard to photograph, but it was also just as fancy as the product itself.

Some pretty embossing on the box. Subtle but very pretty.

There was no English on the packaging, so I have to turn to Missha's website for this BB Cake's information.

Perfect your base makeup in one step with the MISA Geumsul Vitalizing BB Cake.

Now that we know the information about the product, let's dive into the actual product, how it looks, and how well it performs.

I bet you can see what reeled me into buying this product.
The case is a baby pink with red opalescent glitters running through it. The top has this beautiful textured trim with another beautiful gold and diamond piece in the middle.
Beautiful and girly. Just what I like.

The applicator sponge is so softttttt~
Annnd it applies the product well. It'll absorb the BB cake enough to completely cover half of your face.

Not exactly sure what this says, but it's on the separator.

And here's the packaging completely open. The interior is tan and you can tell this has replacement BB cakes even though I haven't fully figured out how to pop the BB cake out of it's compartment. There's even a mirror!

Clean and unused. I got the lightest shade I could get, No. 21.
It has a light floral smell that fades.

L : Smudge on hand.              R : Blended BB cake.

First red flag about this BB cake was there was a weird bit of oil that was forming on the edge of the BB cake. Probably a little separation. Not too bad, but still not good.

L : Bare Face.                       R : BB Cake All Over.

Check out the coverage on that skin! That was just one layer.
I really love how well it covered all my imperfections and gave my skin a slightly matte, yet dewy look. It also has a night SPF for those wanting to protect their skin.

All would be well if...

Before applying this BB cake on the morning I took this photo, I had washed my face, gently exfoliated, did my morning skincare routine and applied the BB cake... even after all of that, my skin STILL looked dry.

This BB cake SUCKED for me!

It left my T-zone looking dryer than any other BB Cream/Cushion has. One rub on my face removed the BB Cake even after applying a finishing powder. I came home looking worse than I had left in the morning. Yes, the weather is extreme here, but when I follow through with a good skincare routine in the morning, my face NEVER does what this BB Cake has done for my skin. NEVER.

The packaging got the best of me and now I have a BB Cake I may never be able to use. I'm thinking about giving it another chance in the fall/winter months since my skin seems to be much different during those months. I hate having this go to waste.

Covers nicely.
Smell is light.
High SPF.

Didn't last on my skin.
Wiped off easily.
Dried my skin out.
Expensive.

I would NOT purchase this if you have DRY SKIN.
I would NOT purchase this if you have COMBINATION SKIN.
I would NOT purchase this if you get sucked into cute packaging and have the skin types mentioned above...
JUST DON'T.

However, if you wanna have a go...

This is my first time seeing this product, and the packaging is quite unique and ancient..
I have a dry skin as well :( so I think I will skip this product.
