Honest Skin Haul !

Good morning lovies. I meant to post this haul awhile back, but I've been lazy. I'm always lazy. About half of the products in this haul I haven't completely photographed yet. Tisk on me! Either way, reviews are going to be done on these items soon!

REVIEW: Holika Holika Magic Pole Mascara - Volume Type!

[ EXCUSE THE HORRIBLE QUALITY PHOTOS. THESE WERE NOT TAKEN WITH MY NEW CAMERA ]

Hello there my lovies. I've got a crazy weekend ahead of me. We're all going visit my stepfathers family, so I wanted to take some time out before I go to get a review or two done, because I don't know if I'll be able to when we go out of town!

I love mascaras. I think I look bald without mascara, LOL. I haven't tried a Korean brand mascara before & I had read some decent reviews on Holika Holika's Magic Pole Mascara, so I decided to take a chance & try it out.

NOVEMBER HAUL: BeautyNetKorea, TesterKorea, Kpoptown, Lime Crime, & eBay!

Hello my lovies! I put in some work this November & bought a good amount of stuff. I finally have received everything I ordered last month & have decided to compile it into one post.

As you can see from the top banner, I purchased a lot of Etude Houses new Princess Etoinette line, which I'm super excited to review for you.

Let's get into my haul for the last month!

BeautyNetKorea

From L - R:

Etude House - Play Color Eyes - #2 So Chic Play [ x ]
Mizon - Snail Recovery Gel Cream [ x ]
Etude House - Princess Etoinette All Over Powder [ x ]
Etude House - Princess Etoinette Crystal Shine Lips in shade #PBE102 & #PPK005 [ x ]
Various samples, mostly Etude with the exception of a mini Tony Moly Cat Chu Wink Lip Tint

This was probably the first website that had almost all of the Princess Etoinette collection. I almost didn't get the nude color from the Etoinette collection. I was planning to get the red colored lipstick, but made the assumption I wouldn't really wear that color. BEST DECISION EVER!

Kpoptown

Etude House - Princess Etoinette Eau De Toilette & Mirror [ x ]

I decided on a whim that I really wanted the perfume out of the collection, & it was a bonus that it came with the Princess Etoinette mirror.

eBay

Etude House - Sweet Recipe Baby Choux Base

Got the full sized product since I ran out of the samples I bought a few months back.

TesterKorea

From L - R:

Holika Holika - Soda Pore Cleansing BB Deep Cleansing Oil [ x ]
The Saem - Peeling So Good Strawberry Yogurt Moisture Pack & Peeling [ x ]
Etude House - Dear My Blooming Eyes in Shade #OR201 [ x ]
Various Samples.

I'd been eyeing up the BB Cleansing Oil for quite sometime & decided it was finally time to get it. The Strawberry Yogurt Mask is a substitute for a Laneige product. I was also eyeing up the palette as well. I had a few credits when I bought these, so I'm really happy I got all of this for less than $20.

Lime Crime

Lime Crime Velvetines in Red Velvet & Pink Velvet [ x ]

I already purchased Suedeberry months back & Lime Crime was having an awesome Black Friday sale going on. The website was having so many issues while I was trying to purchase these since they are in such high demand, but with a little patience & persistence, I was able to successfully add both to my cart & purchase within 30 minutes. They were on sale for $14 & had a promo code for another 30% off the entire order!

Ahh, so much! Probably one of the biggest hauls I've made in the last few months. I have another one already planned for next month thanks to TesterKorea having an awesome sale going on. I'd take advantage before the 20th arrives.

Hope you've enjoyed my haul! <3

Have a wonderful day!

HAUL: New Sponsor - Momomango.com!

Hello darlings. Hope your Thanksgivings was wonderful!
I'm really excited to make this post!

I happened upon Momomango while searching for Skin Food's Black Egg Pore Foundation. Luckily, they seem to be the only web store that still carries it. Of course I made a purchase!

Before I elaborate on what I received, I want to talk about Momomango & the website.

They are a fairly new company, starting only 2 years ago due to a friend returning from Asia with a bunch of Korean Cosmetics. She raved about how well they all worked for her skin, & the owners decided they NEEDED to bring this to where they were.

Skin Food was the first Korean Cosmetics brand they brought over, then incorporating other popular brands, such as Etude House, Tony Moly, etc.

The website only ships to Canada & the U.S.
Free shipping for orders over $75 USD & if you don't make it to that amount, flat rate shipping is only $18. I don't find it to be too bad since I would normally pay that, if not more, to have the same products shipped from overseas.

They are also extremely personal with their packaging. They include some yummy candies as well as a handful of samples with each order. Oh, & they leave cute personal notes on the inside of the shipping boxes. I loved reading them!

Customer service is super SUPER super friendly & helpful. You really feel connected with whomever you speak to. The representative I spoke to had  to be the nicest person I've spoken with from a company. Very understanding, helpful, & nice.

I'm happy to announce that I am now affiliated with Momomango & they have sponsored me with some wonderful goodies!

I really couldn't be more happy to be affiliated with Momomango. It's a chance I was ready to take & I am so thankful I was allowed to review products for them. I promised I wouldn't let them down & I surely don't plan to!

Let's get on with what I got!

Before speaking with the representative, I had already made a purchase from the website.
I'll be linking all the products to the Momomango website listings. For those of you who don't live within the shipping limits, once I review these products, I will continue to give links to more than one web store for you.

From left to right:

Holika Holika Magic Pole Mascara - Volume [ x ]
Skin Food Black Egg Pore Foundation [ x ]
Skin Food Banana Concealer Stick [ x ]
5 Assorted Samples as well as two yummy candies.

After some consideration, Momomango allowed me to review some products for them.
Here's what I was sent.

From left to right:

BRTC Perfect BB Toner [ x ]
Skin Food Olive Mask [ x ]
Innisfree Almond Sugar Scrub [ x ]
Etude House I Need You Pomegranate Sheet Mask [ x ]

I've already started using all of the products shown, so I'm even more excited to review them for you! Please stay tuned for those reviews.

I received both packages within a week of shipping date, which is much quicker than buying from overseas websites.

Again, I'm super honored to be review products for Momomango. For my Canadian & U.S. readers, I highly suggest you check them out when you can!

REVIEW: Holika Holika Tea Cafe Sheet Masks - Sweet Milk & Lavender Tea!

Hello again lovelies. Hope you're having a smooth week. Ahh, I feel so much better with my typing now. The last few weeks, I my acrylics had grown out so much that it was hard to type with. Thank God I went in for a refill & they are short! I'll include a photo at the end of the review of what they look like. Remember my Halloween nails? :P

Lets' get started with this review!

Now, I've had these for awhile & have used them both, but documented my experience with them.

[ HOW TO USE ]

1. Apply toner to your skin after washing.
2. Open up the package, unfold the mask sheet and fit the mask over the face.
3. Remove the mask after 15 to 20 minutes, and pat the remaining essence and gently absorb.

First, I will go over each of the masks.

Sweet Milk Tea
[ Intense Nourishment ]

"The moisturizing and nourishing honey and milk protein makes the skin look radiant and luminous."

This mask smells like the name says, a sweet honey smell. Almost floral. The mask was very moisturizing & my skin felt, & looked amazing in the morning.

Lavender Tea
[ Skin Soothing ]

"The ingredient aromatic lavender keeps the skin blemish-free by taking care of skin problems."

I love the smell of lavender! If you love lavender scented things, then you'd definitely like the smell of this mask. It's as equally as moisturizing as the Sweet Milk Tea Mask, except this one is much more calming due to the lavender scent. I didn't see any changes in the way my skin looked, but I'd choose this one over the Sweet Milk Tea any day..

However...

I did not care for the sheet masks. The only other sheet masks I have used from a international brand are the My Beauty Diary Sheet masks. The Holika Holika masks are much more liquidy than the MBD masks are, but the actual paper masks are a thicker material. They don't come with the plastic mask "mold" like MBD does, which isn't a problem at all for me. The real killer for this product was the fact that the essence dripped onto my neck & didn't seem to linger & seep into my skin like I had hoped it would. After about 10 minutes of use, I noticed that the forhead area had almost been drained of all its essence while the lower half of the mask was still pretty saturated. I take it's bc the essence was constatly dripping onto my neck. Even while laying down, it did the same exact thing.

I ended up taking the sheet masks completely off, each one, & rubbed the mask with the essence into my skin & onto my neck [ something I do after about 20 minutes of wear on my face ].

If I had to judge solely on how nice the essence made my skin feel after use, I'd give this a full five stars, however, this isn't the case. I would have better enjoyed this product if it was an essence I could apply during my morning & nightly routine.

You might have a different experience than I did, so I do recommend trying one of these masks out.

2/5

GOSH, it feels wonderful to be able to type correctly.

HAUL: Etude House, Holika Holika, Tony Moly, & Skin Food!

Hello again darlings. I haven't done two posts in one sitting in awhile, but I wanted to post another haul post. I ended up buying two orders from TesterKorea & decided to just mash the two packages into one, though I am still waiting on one from Kpoptown.

Here's my first package I received & it's contents:

From left to right:

Etude House I'm Blooming Bubble Dual Pad [ x ]
Etude House Moonlight In Spoon Blending Sleeping Cream in Blueberry, Royal Jelly, & Rosehip [ x ]
Tony Moly Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream [ x ]
Holika Holika Smooth Egg Tightening Essence [ x ]
Etude House Bling In The Sea Cheek Sun Brightener in Apricot Beam [ x ]

The samples packs I bought:

Holika Holika 3 Second Starter - Hyaluronic Acid
Skin Food Rice Mask [ x ]

I didn't receive any small parcels of samples from the website this time, but I wasn't worried at all.

Now onto the second package.
Unfortunately in this package, I ordered the new xoxo Minnie Mouse Touch Blusher from Etude House & it arrived to me completely broken, so I didn't include it in the photos. I'm hoping to get another one soon.

From left to right:

Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Tissue [ x ]
Etude House Skin [ mal:gem] Skin Brightening Fresh [ x ]
Etude House Rosy Tint Lips in shade #08 After Blossom [ x ]
Etude House Minnie Touch Highlighter [ x ]

I was sent some sample parcels with this package:

From left to right:

Innisfree Soybean Energy Essence [ x ]
A'Piey Oriental Balhyo O2 Bubble Mask
Shara Shara Water Girl's Ice Cream [ x ]
Missha Cho Bo Yang BB Cream in shade #1 Light Beige [ x ]
Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer [ x ]
Tony Moly Intense Care Snail Essence [ x ]

I need to stop buying..
But...
I....
CANNN'T
^^;

Hope you lovelies enjoyed my haul.

REVIEW: Holika Holika Wonder Drawing 24Hr Auto Eyebrow!

Good morning lovelies. Glad to be back to blogging! I'm definitely feeling much better, but now little man has gotten sick! Poor baby, but he's taking it like a champ! Today, I'm reviewing Holika Holika's Wonder Drawing 24Hr Auto Eyebrow pen in the color Red Brown.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to use this product any more as it's much too dark for my hair color now, but regardless of that factor, I would definitely recommend this eyebrow pencil to anyone. The packaging isn't really special. It's more sleek looking, with dual ends. It's quite easy to travel with & is good for days when you may need to reapplying, but I've found that my eyebrows stay looking nice throughout the day when using this.

What I love about this product is how easy & convenient it is to use. The product is shaped in a way that makes it easy to use & draw eyebrows on without going through too much trouble. It's quite pigmented as well & has a bit of a waxy-ness to it that helps the hairs stay in place. The small spooly on the other end is quite useful for brushing the product in to make your eyebrows look more natural.

This is one swipe of the eyebrow pen. Pretty pigmented, but I wouldn't say it's a red brown. It looks more like a medium brown to me. However, I don't always have my eyebrows match my hair color at the time. I'd be walking around with red tinted eyebrows. Sounds pretty cool though. I may try that look one day :D.

Here's how the pen looks on my eyebrow:

As you can tell from the first picture, my eyebrows look a bit dirty-blonde instead of brown. ( I dislike my natural hair color ) They aren't as full & neat as my eyebrows should look. The bottom picture looks much better. The pen has filled in any gaps where hair may have been missing & my eyebrows look more full than they were before.

It's such a bummer that I'm unable to further use this product since bleaching my hair back to blonde, but I still will keep this handy in case I decide to go back to the dark side. hehehe. :P

Overall, a 5/5. I hope to get a color more suited to my hair one of these days.

REVIEW: Holika Holika Baby Silky Foot Mask Sheet!

Good morning darlings. Hope your week is passing by gracefully. With the September month, I was hoping for it to start getting much colder around where I live, but it seems the heat index isn't budging much. I'm just ready for the cold weather! Scarves, hoodies, blankets, bon fires, the whole nine! What about you? Are you a Fall/Winter junkie like me? Anyway, today I'll be reviewing Holika Holika's Baby Silky Foot Mask Sheet!

Let me start off by saying that I don't like feet. I don't even like my own. The only feet I like is little mans feet. When I was capable of going to a salon & getting a pedicure, I would go. For awhile, I didn't want anyone touching my feet, but caved when I got sick & tired of the way my feet look. I primarily wear flip flops, so my feet are exposed to a lot of people. I also walk around barefoot a lot, which ties in to why my feet are the way they are now.  I initially thought this was going to be the peeling foot mask, but I'm not upset at all. This product works pretty dang well for it's price.

I like the awesome pictorial on how to use this sheet mask. Especially the last picture. Shiny, baby soft feet? Sounds exciting!

[ DESCRIPTION ]

Holika Holika Baby Silky Foot Mask Sheet
Highly enriched essential foot sheet which makes your feet fresh and moist.

[ HOW TO USE ]
1. Wash your feet cleanly and dry them.
2. Divide foot mask sheet into two pieces along the dot line, put your foot into non-woven fabric with essence and wear it.
3. After wearing foot mask sheet, please massage your feet for the essence to be absorbed.
4. After 15~20 minutes, remove foot mask sheet and tap remaining essence softly for absorption.
*Use as a disposable item.

Pretty straight forward directions. Just a heads up, I didn't take pictures of my feet before or after using the sheet mask. I am not in any way comfortable with my feet, so I had no intentions on taking pictures of them. However, I will tell you how they were before the sheet mask & after its use.

[ BEFORE USE ]

My heels are pretty dry; have a few cracks in them. Sometimes, I'll get a random patch of dead skin around the inner parts of my foot. My biggest toe is a little rough as well. I try my best to give myself a mini-pedicure every week or every other week depending on how much time I have to waste.

Here's what the mask looks out of the packaging. At first, I wasn't sure if the essence was encased in something like this & that I was going to have to wrap my feet up with plastic bags, but I'm super happy they've already taken that step out of the equation. The masks come attached to each other & you tear them down the middle, by the ankle point, to get them apart. On the inside is a thin, mesh material, that allows the essence to soak into your feet correctly. I found it a little difficult to walk at first, but as time progressed, it got much easier.

It's not quite my bare feet, but here's my feet with the mask on them. The protective plastic covering is really innovative! I didn't expect that at all.

[ AFTER USE ]

I found my feet much softer than before, but this isn't a quick fix at all. I'd recommend this product to someone who regularly gets pedicures & has a day where they feel their feet need a little pick me up if you're unable to get to a salon or don't have the time. This worked well with getting my feet quite soft, but the results only lasted a few days for me. Being a person who is used to not wearing shoes when you don't have to, the results didn't stay long. It may be my fault, but overall, this is a good product for getting softer feet in less than 30 minutes!

I'm going to have to give this product a 3/5 since the results didn't last as long as I'd hope they would. I'm thinking next time, I should purchase the peeling liquid as well as a few of these to keep the baby soft feet I actually like. [ I admit, I'd allow someone else, besides the ladies at the salons, to touch my feet if they were baby soft all the time, LOL ].

REVIEW: Holika Holika Bulgarian Rose Petal Moisture Mask!

Good morning my darlings... As bad as this morning has been, I'm still going to post a review for you. My car may have finally given out on me. I was driving from my parents house to my work this morning & my car gave out. I'm hoping that it's fixable! Going to try & keep positive about the whole situation! Today, I'll be reviewing Holika Holika's Bulgarian Rose Petal Moisture Mask from their Bulgarian Rose line.

I'm still fighting with my skin to stay flake free & this moisture mask was one of the first products I'd put on my wishlist. Rose water is said to soothe skin, balance oil content, & tone the skin as well. It's also very soothing. I've had this mask for a few weeks now & can confidently say that this is another go-to, use every week, mask. Using this mask after a mask that's more drying to my skin like my CVS Mint Julep Mask or my Queen Helene Grape Seed Peeling Mask has greatly helped my skin.

[ DESCRIPTION ]

Holika Holika Bulgarian Rose Petal Moisture Mask

[ WHAT IT IS ]
This is a hydrating and toning face treatment that leaves the skin rejuvenated and relaxed. Infused with real rose petals that melt into the skin when applied to the face, helping to retain moisture. It also contains precious Bulgarian Rose Water 20% and Rose Essential Oil to improve the overall appearance of the skin.

[ DIRECTIONS ]
Bulgarian Rose Petal Moisture Mask can be used daily. Apply to cleansed moist skin, avoiding the eye and lip area; lave on 10-15 minutes; rinse off with warm water.

So as you can see, the packaging isn't as cute as some of Holika Holika's other products are, but I fancy the container. The box is a deep red/mauve color. Both box & container are adorned with rose decals. So pretty! The container is also matte, which makes it more fancy IMO.

There is a protective cover for hygienic purposes, so that's a plus!

Also comes with a spatula. If you look closely, you can see the bits of rose petals in the mask!

The mask itself is a... tanish, brownish, slightly orange color. You can clearly see the bits of roses in the mask now as well. Some are fairly small, while others are more chunkier. The box claims that they would "melt" into the skin, but that doesn't happen at all. I'm sure they're either in the mask for more beneficial purposes or for show.

I love this mask. I love the way it smells & the way it feels! I love how soothing the mask makes me. I almost fell asleep while wearing the mask! I do use this everyday, especially after a more drying mask. It sinks into the skin amazingly well. I also really love the cooling effect! Goodness this mask feels amazing!  My only con about this mask would be the rose petals, but I overlook that since this mask performs so well!

Overall, I give this mask 5/5! I would definitely repurchase this once I run out!

If you'd like to purchase this for yourself:

TesterKorea.com - Holika Holika Bulgarian Rose Petal Moisture Mask - USD $12.62
Koreadepart.com - Holika Holika Bulgarian Rose Petal Moisture Mask - USD $12.65

Hope this review was helpful!

I hope you have an amazing day & an even better one tomorrow! Please give me some good luck in hopes that my car will work before the end of the week!
