REVIEW & TUTORIAL: Etude House Dear My Blooming Eyes Palette - Shade OR201 Bashful Coral!

Hello my lovies. I'm back from visiting my family! I had a wonderful time. Little man turned two on the 8th! He's getting older, quicker, & I am NOT ready! LOL.

I bought this palette awhile ago & have used it quite sparingly. I really only use this for special occasions when I only want a very light makeup look.

I'll not only be going into the colors, but I have done a makeup look using all the colors in this palette the way I would normally apply this!

Let's start with the product itself!

The box is super cute & princess-like. I was hesitant to throw the box away, but I don't need any extra stuff filling up space.

The back of the box is completely in Korean. It has a complete step-by-step guide on where to apply the shadows. I didn't follow the guide :P

The sides are pretty as well.

Etude House Dear My Blooming Eyes OR201 Bashful Coral

This eye shadow palette comes with four mix and match colors that glide on smoothly for shimmering and dimensional eyes.

1. Evenly spread Color B onto whole eyelid.
2, Gradate eyehole wih Color C.
3. Draw a thin like along lash line with Color D. Draw an underline onto 1/3 of lower lash line's outer edges for a dramatic look.
4. Draw Color A onto 2/3 of inner corner of under eyes for a dazzling look. Lightly apply on top of Color B to increase dazzling effect.

1. Use only as directed.
2. Avoid storing in high and low temperatures and areas exposed to direct sunlight.
3. Cease use if problems arise.

The packaging is extra adorable. I especially love the cute Etude detailing on the cover. It's quite similar to the emblem imprinted onto the lipsticks Etude sells as well.

The cute bow on the area of the packaging where you have to open it up is a super sweet touch as well. It's small details like these that leave a lasting impression on me like this palette has.

There is a bit of variety to these shadows, A being a shimmer, B being a matte, C being something between a satin & shimmer & D being a satin.

The top row is without a primer, while the bottom row is with a primer. You can barely see shade B & slightly A & C, but C is pretty pigmented. I should also mention, the fallout is horrible on these shadows, especially troubling with shade A, since it's a full on shimmer. You have to be careful with it or get a big fan brush to sweep the fallout from under your eye.

I think this palette is wonderful for those who really want something to practice with or for those who don't like a lot of color or like really light makeup. The shadows are really pretty though. There are many looks you can do with just four shades.

Time for my tutorial on how I use these!

Of course, since I have oily lids, I need to use a good base & I'm using Urban Decays Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden. I applied this all over my lid & up to my brow bone as well as under my eye.

Taking shade B from the palette, I swept this shadow all over my lid, stopping at my crease.

Taking shade C, I apply that over the eye shadow I have already applied to give the shadow a little more pop of sparkle.

Taking shade D & a big blending brush, I apply this color to the outer "V" of my eye & extend it slightly & taking the excess & blending that into my crease.

Taking shade A, I apply this all over my brow bone as well as the inner corners of my eyes & the inner 1/3 of my lower lash line.

Going in with a small angled brush, I apply shade D as an eyeliner. I didn't extend this into a wing. I also took this shadow onto the outer 2/3 of my lower lash line.

Lastly, I applied Tarte Cosmetics Lights, Camera, Lashes to my upper & lower lashes.

Here's the finished product. I'm wearing Alice In Wonderland lenses in Gray, review coming soon.

Although these colors are really nice, they are very sheer & have a lot of fallout, but are wonderful for those who don't like heavy makeup or those starting out like I stated earlier.
